Wooden box of watercolours 12 Mir tubes

MIR Extra fine watercolours can basically be defined as a transparent water-based paint, in which the whites and luminosity of the work are conferred by the support paper itself. The same permanent pigments accepted for oil paints are used for its manufacture and the aqueous solution of gum arabic is used as a binder. The fine pigment particles are retained in the interstices of the fibres of the backing paper, and the gum arabic helps adhesion. Drying is by simple evaporation of the solvent (water). A watercolour paint that has dried on the palette can be perfectly softened with water and used again.
