With an unctuous and homogeneous texture, rich and bright colors, vivid and intense tones, Sennelier's extra-fine acrylic is aimed at artists looking for a great variety of results with the same paint. Sennelier used the ingredients that made its pastels, oils, watercolors, inks and gouaches notorious. The brand selected pigments of the highest quality, sourced from the most demanding chemistry laboratories, in order to maximize the purity and clarity of the shades.

With 120 shades, Sennelier offers one of the broadest palettes on the market, consisting of 4 interfering colors and 6 iridescent shades. Sennelier has also developed a very complete range of fluid and gel mediums, varnishes and other auxiliary products to modify the texture, viscosity, transparency or luminosity of the paint at will. In this way, the artist can glaze, polish, bind, hide, cover, extend or variegate, according to his taste, and also create his own recipes!

The aim of this new range is to create a color that offers a consistency and a result similar to that of extra-fine oil colors. Thus, the texture is that of a paste color, i.e. creamy, unctuous and in which the brush or spatula mark remains. With 120 shades, Sennelier offers one of the widest palettes on the market. These are colors with a high pigment content (mostly mono-pigments), which have been chosen to provide the best possible stability over time. Sennelier also chose colors that made its range of extra-fine oils famous. The sample book includes the traditional ultramarine, earth and ochre colors. In addition, there are shades derived from cadmium- and cobalt-based pigments. Finally, some colors based on quinacridone, pyrrole, naphthol and phthalocyanine come from recent research and offer new possibilities to painters. Among the 120 shades, there are also 4 interfering colors, i.e. they reflect two different colors depending on the angle of vision. The range also includes 6 iridescent colors with a metallic effect.

Sennelier maintains the tradition of craftsmanship and controls its quality strictly and constantly. Each stage of production is subjected to laboratory tests. A product is marketed only after a series of tests confirming that it meets very stringent requirements regarding color fastness, light fastness, consistency, saturation, value, pH and drying time. All the products in the extra-fine acrylic range comply with the American ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) D4236 standard for toxicity and safety. The colors also conform to the ASTM D5098 standard, which attests to their good lightfastness.

Sennelier extra-fine acrylic allows working in thickness, in glazing, in combination with other techniques such as pastel, charcoal or ink, in superposition, or the realization of gluing and inlays of different materials. It can be used outdoors as well as in the workshop. 120 colors are available in 60 ml and 200 ml tubes. It gives a very good adhesion on many supports without grease: paper, painting canvas, cardboard with fabric, wood, fabric, cement, plaster, some plastics and metals. It can be worked with a brush, spatula, metal trowel, directly with the tube to obtain thick lines or even with the fingers. Thanks to their excellent spreadability, all Sennelier extra-fine acrylic colors can be mixed without difficulty in order to obtain an infinite number of shades, without spoiling the luminosity of the tones. They are excellent for fillings and can be associated with Sennelier auxiliaries to modify texture, viscosity, transparency or luminosity at will.

Sennelier extra-fine acrylic is low odor and dries quickly to give an indelible, insoluble, non-cracking, non-yellowing and water-resistant film. The variation of results that can occur after drying is very low to non-existent depending on the shades.
