Container of Dutch varnish type medium, dark reddish-brown colour.
Mediums are used to give specific qualities to paints when applying them, in order to obtain better results. In this case it gives elasticity, improves drying, gives fluidity, gloss and transparency to the layers of oil paints to avoid cracking.
It can also be used as a final varnish if diluted with turpentine and odourless petroleum.
Due to its tonality, it is recommended for use as an ageing varnish.
It can be applied with a brush or sponge, cleaning well after use.
