Pastel À L'écu Grand Modèle Sennelier

It will take more than 3 years (1904 to 1907) to formulate the range of superfine soft pastels "à l'écu", Sennelier and give birth to one of the longest chromatic ranges of pastels.
Throughout the century, this palette of shades will undergo changes, but the heart of its design will remain unchanged.
Several requests from impressionist artists are at the origin of this wide range of shield pastels, as is the case of the brown pastels that were created for the painter Edgar Degas.
It is an ideal range to double the pleasure of pastelists.
You can enjoy favorite pastels of Degas, Cézanne and Chagall made with traditional 19th century methods.
The unctuousness and voluptuousness of the pastel "à l'Ecu" are the result of a careful blend of extremely pure pigments and natural binders. This subtle amalgam gives the pastel an optimal luminosity and ensures its conservation for several years.
The exceptional luminosity is due to the natural charge discovered by Sennelier in 1905 and still used today.
All shades degrade in shades towards white.
