The most ambitious artistic project of Sara Rubayo, the art historian who has revolutionised museums in Spain, and Ana Gállego: an exhaustive compilation of all the women painters of the 18th century.

When a visitor enters the Prado Museum, they expect to see Diego Velázquez's Las Meninas, not Clara Peeters' still lifes, despite belonging to the same artistic style, and being of incalculable historical value.

PintorAs vol. 2 aims to provide an answer to the knowledge gap in the history of art: women artists. It is not that we do not know them because they did not exist, but because they were despised artistically and forgotten historically.

In this volume, which covers the entire 18th century, Sara Rubayo and Ana Gállego bring a new perspective to the history of art so that you can give the deserved recognition to all those women who have contributed to our culture with their talent.
