Sennelier Oil Pastel 10ml

• In 1949, the painter Henri Goetz asked Henri Sennelier to develop a new material for his friend Pablo Picasso who was looking for a colored wax chalk. The "Sennelier Oil Pastel" was born out of that collaboration.
• Over the decades, this range was enriched with metallic colors, iridescent shades, and about thirty new base colors. In addition to the classic shades, it also includes unique tones and in particular a gray gradient, necessary for a balanced palette.
• This evolution is the result of a long-lasting collaboration with European and North American painters who worked with our company to develop a palette of exceptional shades.
• Sennelier oil pastel is a product that reuses the components used in all Sennelier colors: high quality pigments, a very pure synthetic binder and a mineral wax. The pigments are ground with an inert, non-drying binder, which does not oxidize and will have no effect on the durability of the film or the substrates. This base is then mixed with wax (neutral pH).
• The balance of this mixture gives Sennelier oil pastels a peculiar unctuousness and a creamy texture that allows great freedom of pictorial expression.
• Sennelier oil pastels have an exceptional pigment concentration which gives them a great coloring and covering power, a great vividness of tones and a very good resistance to light (except for metallic and fluorescent inks).
