This material offers a new approach to working with oil painting, expanding the freedom of expression in this technique and allowing greater spontaneity and expressionism.

It is a transposition of oil painting. A part of the oil has been replaced by a neutral mineral wax to give it the shape of a stick. The quality of these colors is excellent: the pigments are ground with vegetable oils (siccatives) selected for their low tendency to yellow over time. This selection and the high concentration of pigments ensure excellent resistance to light. These colors are applied directly on traditional oil painting supports (greasy or universal) and require a quality preparation of the backgrounds.

Substrates: canvases for painting, canvas, canvas boards, prepared boards, paper for painting. Solid oil paint should be applied in thin layers (not exceeding 1 mm). It is superimposable like paste oil paint and can be diluted with petroleum spirit or turpentine if necessary. Before use, it is necessary to peel the surface layer, which will regenerate after a few days without use. The applied paint dries within 2 to 5 days, depending on the thickness of the layer and atmospheric conditions. A colorless medium is available to obtain transparency and glazing effects.

The extra-fine solid colors have opaque or transparent shades depending on the nature of the pigments used. The product keeps very well over time and does not require special precautions, apart from avoiding heat sources that could alter it. Once dry, the paint is varnished like a traditional oil paint after a minimum of 6 months of drying, using a final varnish for paintings.
