It is a printing process that consists of reproducing on paper what was drawn with a special ink or grease pencil (lithographic stick) on the surface of a compact and very homogeneous limestone. This calcareous stone is shaped like a thick plate with its two opposite faces parallel and one of them very finely polished and with reduced edges.
