The different types of pencils for drawing:

Watercolor pencils are a versatile tool that allows for the generation of a wide range of effects, from detailed drawings to abstract paintings. The lead of these pencils is made of pigments and wax, which dissolve in water to generate a smooth, translucent color. You can dilute the strokes with water to create watercolor effects. You can do this with a paintbrush, an airbrush or even your fingers.

With pastel pencils, the color transfer onto the paper is faster, allowing for better color blending. They possess a high concentration of pigments that guarantees brilliant colors and excellent lightfastness, ideal for your fine art pieces.

Graphite pencils are made from a mixture of graphite and clay. The amount of graphite in the mixture determines the hardness of the lead. Harder graphite pencils produce a fine and light stroke (H), while softer graphite pencils produce a thick and dark stroke (B).

On the other hand, charcoal pencils are made of a mixture of charcoal and clay. The amount of charcoal in the mixture determines the hardness of the lead, just like graphite pencils. These allow for the creation of realistic and expressive drawings.
