25 sheets of fine silver leaf Giusto Manetti 95x95mm

• Fine silver leaf gilding.
• Gilding in iconography is a complex and highly specialised technique that requires precision and artistry.
• To achieve the so-called "mirror effect", the gold leaves must be of such a weight and uniformity that they do not show defects when applied to the icon.
• It can be applied using the mordant or water silvering technique. It is particularly suitable for restoration and for use on worked surfaces, such as inlaid wood, plaster and stucco, with the aid of a squirrel's hair brush. Also suitable for other crafts and artistic works.
• Protected with sheets of tissue paper, which makes it easier to handle and quicker to use on flat surfaces.
• Includes 25 sheets.
• Size: 9.5 x 9.5 cm.
• They present a high risk of oxidation despite being well packed.
