The Little Big Book Of Macramé all the fundamental techniques for beginners and initiates
This little compendium will guide you in learning macramé.
In this book each knot is described step by step and with the colours and ropes to be used in mind.
You will also find the art and method of making fringes, weaves and braids.
The little big book of macramé contains everything you ever wanted to know about macramé: from cutting the ropes, making a vertical or picot assembly, to making colour changes, making a lark's head knot, a Joséphine or a frivolité, creating a double horizontal flock, making a braid of 4 or 8 ropes, making an escubidú with a square braid.
It is divided into five chapters: before you start; the basic knots; the braids; principles and finishing touches; and finally a table of knots.
The first chapter explains the tools and materials needed.
The second, third and fourth chapters show two to six illustrations per design with arrows showing the places where the ropes should pass.
All illustrations are accompanied by text. The table of knots brings together fifty-six of the finished designs shown.
