This book is aimed at those artists, whether amateurs or with previous knowledge, who are interested in and wish to discover the creative possibilities of drawing. The book explains in depth the different drawing techniques, allowing to discover in them a rich field of experimentation where materials, applicators and procedures generate varied and surprising results.

The reader will find fourteen different techniques with which he or she can experiment in depth and in a practical way, starting from a creative project specifically designed to make the most of its artistic possibilities. Each project is based on the historical reference of a painter who applied that technique in his personal language, on the one hand, and on the other, on a visual model from which a work is developed, step by step. It also shows a gallery with different possible endings that explains several variables of this technique. Finally, a window to new proposals leaves the project open for the reader to develop it from new models or from different formal, chromatic or compositional approaches.
This work is undoubtedly a useful tool for those who wish to go beyond simple mimetic drawing and want to feel that drawing is a means of personal expression and development, without this meaning that they have to give up their technical knowledge, but on the contrary: it leads them to take the step towards creative drawing from technique.
