Purpose: protection of an oil painting (traditional finishing varnish) Composition: damar resin, turpentine and matting agents (silicas) Special features: Apply once the paint has dried completely (between 6 and 12 months, depending on the thickness of the layer) Dries in a few hours Over time, it may show signs of ageing such as yellowing and cracking Provides a satin sheen When mixed with Damar Gloss Varnish 081, it alters the sheen Can be removed with mild solvents Can be thinned with turpentine Stir well before use
