The balance of this mixture gives a peculiar unctuousness to Sennelier oil pastel, and a creamy texture that allows great freedom of pictorial expression. Sennelier oil pastels have an exceptional concentration of pigment that gives them great coloring and covering power, great vibrancy of tones and very good light fastness (except for metallic and fluorescent inks). It is recommended to use a special fixative for oil pastels, since due to their components they take time to dry completely and are sensitive to heat.
