Blackwing Palomino Orange Set 12 Pencils Blackwing pencils were a favourite of award-winning creators throughout the 20th century. Despite having a cult following, they were discontinued in the 1990s. Devotees began paying up to $40 on eBay for a single pencil. In the early 2000s, they used their access to the best wood, graphite and artisan manufacturers in the world to introduce a premium pencil line we called Palomino. The hype surrounding Palomino had Blackwing fans clamouring for them to try to bring back Blackwing pencils for a new generation. In 2010, they did just that. The Blackwing Palomino is the second entry in the Blackwing Eras series. It features extra-firm graphite, along with a "Palomino orange" body, a signature gold stripe, a gold Blackwing Palomino print. Extra hard Japanese graphite lead. Genuine incense cedar wood. Gold-plated metal ferrule. Replaceable white eraser. Also available in blue. Brand: Blackwing.
