Ampersand Aquabord 3mm board is available to buy in increments of 1
Technical description
Aquabord 3mm Ampersand Board
Aquabord is a rigid waterproof medium perfect for artists.
This textured clay surface absorbs watercolours and maintains the purity and vibrancy of colour better than any traditional paper.
It allows you to apply multiple layers, lift colour to lower layers or remove it completely without damaging the surface.
Will not warp under heavy application.
Perfect for watercolours, gouache, casein and acrylics.
No framing glass required.
Acid free.
Tips for use:
- Even washes: apply water evenly with a large brush before painting.
- Glazing and layering: allow each coat to dry for reflective effects without lifting the base colour.
- Colour removal: use damp brushes or sponges.
- Sealing: use spray fixative to make it moisture resistant.
