• This water-mixable gloss varnish is a UV-resistant varnish that provides a glossy finish and protects and preserves oil paintings for longer. By sealing the microscopic pores in the oil paint film, it provides resistance to dirt and grease. It also evens out the gloss of the paint’s surface.

   

• This varnish does not yellow over time and is ideal for use as a final coat on your artwork. It provides a glossy finish that enhances colours and protects the painting against wear and damage.

   

• It is important to bear in mind that the painting must be completely dry before applying the varnish (it is generally recommended to wait 6 to 12 months after finishing the painting). This ensures that the paint is fully cured and ready to receive the varnish coat.

   

• If you wish to remove the varnish in the future to reapply it, you can use the Water-Mixable Varnish Remover. This will allow you to safely remove the old varnish and prepare the surface for a new coat of varnish.

   

• Furthermore, it is important to note that water-mixable varnishes are also suitable for the final treatment of conventional oil paintings. This means you can use this varnish on artworks created with both water-mixable oil paints and traditional oil paints
