Oil Painting Supports and Canvas
The support is the soul of your artwork; it is useless to use the best oil paints if the base does not respond well. For this reason, at Hartem we have selected stable surfaces with the ideal priming to withstand the drying oil load of this technique.
Range of supports according to your oil techniqueTypes of canvases and supports for oil
Each artist works differently. Depending on your style, on the space in your studio, you can choose from these formats:
- Canvases on wooden stretcher bars: The indisputable classic. Available in 100% cotton or linen canvas.
- Canvas boards and panels: Rigid supports perfect for outdoor painting, fast studies or artists looking for a firm base that does not yield to the palette knife.
- Pads and paper for oil: High grammage sheets that are the best alternative for practicing glazes, sketching or painting without taking up space.
We have a huge variety of sizes (figure, landscape and marine formats) so that you can find the exact base requested by your next artwork.
