An ironic look at Spain through the eyes of one of our country's most decisive photographers.
Visit Spain was the first message used in tourist propaganda. A commission on patriotic values for the Gaceta Ilustrada. Masats's work coincided with the end of the Franco regime's autarchy and with the opening designed by the Ministry of Education and Tourism. They are photos that capture an instant, a fragment of reality, that make us wonder about the history behind what we see and why on earth the photographer took them like this.
El País Masats's photographs, with his not so occasional Cartier-Bresson touch, lead us to think about the mysterious dialectic between what remains and what is transformed with the passage of time.
