Vallejo Dark Slate Pigment 30ml

• Pigments for modelling are used to age and simulate wear and tear on vehicles, armour, fenders and model structures and to create the effects of accumulations of dust, mud and smoke produced by time and natural ageing.

• The pigments in this range are iron oxides and natural earths, especially suitable for the different climatic and geographical conditions on diorama terrains.

• These pigments used in the manufacture of our colours have been specially processed and micronised to facilitate their dispersion in any liquid medium, from water to acrylic resins, turpentine or oil.

• To fix the pigments to the surface we use a matt finish acrylic resin, such as our Pigment Glaze Medium, which has a slower drying time, makes it easier to simulate rain and snow washes and provides more time to manipulate the pigment in and around the details of the model.
  

• Special effects can also be achieved by mixing the pigments with Water Yamp Stone products, such as Transparent Water for grease, oil and wet mud effects, or Sandstone Paste to create a rough, coarse surface of dried mud and deeply rusted, chipped metal.
