How to use the chrome effect paint
The surface to be painted must be clean, dry and free of any kind of contaminants.
Shake the aerosol vigorously for 1 minute after the mixing balls sound. Spray at a distance of 25/30 cm, applying thin and fast coats, first horizontally and then vertically. It is advisable to apply two thin coats and not one thick coat in order to achieve a uniform coverage and avoid sagging. Once the operation is finished, invert the can and press until only gas comes out to clean the push button.
Once finished, it should not be rubbed, varnished or treated with any cleaner or solvent as it would lose its shine.
Difference between chrome plating and the decorative chrome effect
We must distinguish between professional chrome plating and merely decorative chrome plating. For professional chrome plating, the object must be immersed in a container with the liquid chrome in order for it to adhere and form the chrome film. Nowadays it is impossible to achieve the same finish in a spray as in a temperature immersion treatment. What does exist in spray is the chrome effect for decorative use. This is a chrome effect coating that emulates traditional chrome objects.
Recommendations for chrome effect paint
For decorative use only.
To achieve a better anchorage and protection, pre-treat the surface with any of the available PINTYPLUS primers depending on the surface and final use of the object to be painted.
To paint on already painted surfaces, if the paint is well adhered, we will sand it superficially to facilitate the adherence. If the paint is in poor condition, we will remove it by sanding or other means such as paint stripper.
To clean the painted object, avoid using any chemical or natural product. Use a duster rather than a cloth.
Do not use on equipment connected to the power supply and apply in ventilated areas.
Once empty, the aerosol should be deposited in the yellow container.
