Procion MX dyes are cold water dyes that are chemically fixed rather than heat set.
They are also ideal for shibori, ice dyeing, vat dyeing and low temperature dip dyeing, printing, direct painting and other alternative dyeing applications.
As a fibre-reactive dye, it forms a strong covalent bond with cellulosic fibres, making it the most permanent and wash-resistant dye.
Contains 8 colours of 18,71g: 004 Lemon Yellow, 020 Brilliant Orange, 030 Fire Engine Red, 040 Fuchsia, 068 Turquoise, 072 Medium Blue, 097 Bright Green and 150 Jet Black.
How to use:
- Mix the concentrated powder dye with tap water to create the most vibrant colours possible for cotton, linen and other vegetable fabrics.
- Often used with a sodium carbonate fixative, which can be added directly to the dye bath or used to pre-treat the fabric.
- One 18.71 g bottle will dye over 0.45 kg of dry fabric.
