Carlos del Amor goes a step further in the journey through paintings that he undertook with Emocionarte. This time he focuses on portraiture, a genre that allows him to recreate the lives of the sitters and the artists, and how the latter also portray themselves in the way they paint.The choice of his models or commissioned portraits, the realistic fidelity to the sitter or the artist's perception of him, the self-portrait that so many of them practise, who the models were and the lives they led, the difficulties in receiving the work by the commissioner or by the public, all form part of the intimate history of these works that we will discover in the book.

With his characteristic literary style, Carlos del Amor shows us a world behind each painting and, once again, reveals to us that there have been many women artists, and very little known until now.
