• Designed with printmaking in mind, Speedball gel printing plates are formulated to have a finer profile than those of the competition, enabling them to produce unrivalled levels of detail that add a rich and unexpected dimension to prints when used with any printmaking ink.
• From Speedball water-soluble block printing ink or Akua Intaglio ink for printing on paper to Speedball screen printing ink for custom designs on fabrics.
• Due to their unique formulation, they are not recommended for use with traditional or craft acrylic paints.
• They can retain the greatest amount of ink from the initial print, resulting in variations within the series.
• It is not necessary to clean the plates between prints; often, any remaining ink residue can create an additional and unexpected dimension for future prints if left uncleaned.
• Cleaning can be done easily with mild soap or baby wipes.
• Once clean and dry, it is recommended that you store it in its original packaging (including the protective plastic sheets) or place it on a smooth, clean, non-porous surface.
• Always keep the plate away from anything that might mark, damage or scratch its delicate surface. Make sure you never allow the ink to dry on the plate.
