Technical description
Metallic ink 1670 J.Herbin 50ml
- The 1670 Collection celebrates the rich life and adventures of Herbin, an enterprising French sailor of the mid-17th century. While working at the Compagnie des Indes Orientales, he made several trips to India, collecting ingredients and formulas for his inks and sealing waxes.
- Presented in a glass bottle with wax on the cap for a better seal and a decorative sealing with rope.
- It does not use pigments that are not natural, which prevents and helps the maintenance of our writing instruments.
- With each of them, lines with golden particles are achieved, visually very attractive and original.
- Available colors:
- - Imperial Violet: with bluish reflections and a thousand sparkling sparkles. Symbol of luxury but also of mystery used by the Emperor and his family under the Roman Empire and later by the different royalty.
- - Caroube from Cyprus: Carob pods were known for their therapeutic properties and were marketed throughout Europe as the "black gold of Cyprus." It is a dark brown ink with light red reflections and a shiny gold effect.
- - Chivor Emerald: It is said that Herbin kept an emerald in his pocket during his travels as a good luck charm. One of the purest emerald deposits in the world, the Chivor mine in the Andes, was discovered in the mid-16th century by Spanish conquistadors. It is an elegant emerald green ink with gold flecks.
- - Stormy Grey: Stormy seas are the inspiration for the ink. In his many voyages, Herbin encountered dark and wild oceans. The fine gold flecks in the ink are meant to invoke both the rays over the water and its dark, mysterious depths.
- - Blue Ocean: Deep blue ink with a golden sheen recalls Herbin's sea voyages to the Mughal Empire of India. In those days, India was the main supplier of indigo dye.
- - Red Hematite: With a deep red color and earthy tone, Rouge Hematite ink is a reminder of the historical color of the Herbin logo and the sealing wax used by members of the royal courts.
- Quantity: 50 ml.
