Spiroglyphics Around the World Mind-blowing giant puzzles
A totally original idea by the brilliant puzzle creator Thomas Pavitte that consists of creating puzzles with extraordinary results.
Spiroglyphics is even more amazing than anything Pavitte has created so far. Each giant design is presented as an apparently uninteresting spiral, but as the lines are filled in, a stunning and dazzling portrait of an iconic city emerges.
Spiroglyphics is fun to create and amazing to look at once it's finished - the artwork will leave you speechless and you'll have stunning portraits to decorate your walls!
At first glance, spiroglyphs look like simple spirals. However, if you look a little closer, you will see that they actually contain two spirals joined in the middle and with subtle variations in width. When you take a marker and start colouring them in, they will come to life.
Start colouring at one end of the spiral (it doesn't matter which end). You can do this quickly; the lines are easier than they look, so don't worry if they are not perfect when you colour them in. Just enjoy the process of revealing the iconic city hidden behind the spirals.
When you reach the centre of the first spiral, stand back and look at the spiroglyph - do you know which one it is? Then colour outwards and the details start to appear. It looks like magic! And the result? Stand back a little to appreciate the effect in all its splendour. How did you achieve this image with just a felt-tip pen and a spiral?
