Clairefontaine precision modelling clay grey
This modelling clay is a professional, non-toxic, high-precision modelling clay, renowned for its stability, grip and precision of reproduction (with an accuracy of 1/10 of a millimetre). Thanks to its oil-based formula (sulphur-free), the modelling clay never dries out in the air, which allows for an infinite number of modelling possibilities.
It is ideal for preliminary modelling work and is easy to work with fingers and basic sculpting tools.
To soften or even liquefy the modelling clay, it can be heated in an oven or bain-marie until it reaches the desired softness or state. Once liquefied, it should be stirred to reincorporate the oils that rise to the surface. After cooling, it regains its original firmness and can be reshaped as required.
It is perfect for creating a variety of moulds and is fully compatible with plaster, cement, silicones, low melting point alloys, polyurethanes and resins, making it a versatile tool for professionals and amateurs alike. An ideal material for sculptors, craftsmen, restorers, jewellers, set designers and prototypers.
