• Once applied, this liquid ground dries hard, giving a satin finish. Unlike solid etching, this liquid product is extremely durable. You won't have to worry about it coming off, giving you plenty of time to do the engraving on your plate.

• Due to the presence of petroleum essence in its composition, this liquid base dries faster than the Ultraflex engraver's varnish mentioned above.

• It is important to note that the Black Satin Liquid Undercoat should only be applied to cold plates after they have been properly degreased. You may choose to apply it using a flexible brush or pour it directly onto the inclined plate.

• The composition of this liquid base coat includes asphalt, turpentine, petroleum essence and wax. These components are responsible for its specific characteristics. The asphalt provides the necessary opacity, the turpentine acts as a solvent, the petroleum essence accelerates drying and the wax contributes to the satin finish.

• The volume of the product is 1 litre and contains a dry extract of 25%.
