Winsor & Newton Artisan Water Mixable Oil Colour 200ml

• Winsor & Newton Artisan Water Mixable Oil Colour is a genuine oil paint made from modified linseed oil and modified safflower oil. This modification allows the colours to be used without hazardous solvents, as they can be cleaned up with water. The formulation of these colours is designed to look and perform similarly to conventional oil colours.

• Artisan Water Mixable Oil colours offer depth of colour, thick consistency, lightfastness, opacity/transparency, permanence and drying times comparable to conventional oil colours. They are especially suitable for artists who share a workspace or who do not wish to use solvents at school or at home.

• By using Artisan oils, mediums and varnishes together with the range of colours, the resulting combination is guaranteed to be compatible with the use of water for mixing. This allows artists to work with the colours in a safer and more environmentally friendly way by avoiding the need to use toxic solvents.

• The colours offer artists the versatility and characteristics of traditional oil colours, but with the added advantage of being water mixable and easier to clean up. They are an excellent choice for both professionals and beginners who wish to explore oil painting without the drawbacks associated with traditional solvents.

• Remember that by using the colours in combination with the media and varnishes of the same line, proper compatibility and optimal results in terms of mixability and final appearance of the artwork are ensured.
