Arches Fine Grain Oil Paper Roll 300g/m² Arches 130x915cm

• ARCHES® paper is manufactured in round form using the traditional method, which guarantees a quality comparable to that of handmade paper.

• The slow rotation of the cylinder facilitates the regular arrangement of the fibres in all directions of the canvas, resulting in a homogeneous paper with a smoother and more stable surface, which gives the artist more control.

• Only the round shape of the paper makes it possible to obtain bearded papers, which offer a balanced fine grain similar to that of a canvas mounted on a stretcher frame, allowing the artist to work with maximum comfort and to play with the play of light and shadow. It is perfect for oil sketches.

• Its thick grammage allows to apply gouaches and to work with impasto indistinctly.

• It is practical to use, as it can be easily cut into the desired format and it is resistant and light, which makes it easy to transport as it can be rolled up easily. It is ideal for painting outdoors, unlike hemp canvas.

• It has a unique sizing and oil barrier, with a semi-absorbent surface.

• The paper is ready to use, which saves time and provides greater safety for the artist, avoiding the risk of damaging the support during the preparation phase.

• It is scratch resistant, prevents the formation of greasy stains and protects the fibres against oxidation when in contact with paint. It also withstands solvents well.

• The pigments remain on the surface of the paper, which gives excellent colour results and a faster drying time.

• It has an alkaline reserve, without acid or optical brighteners, which makes it permanent according to ISO 9706.
