Winsor & Newton Fine Grain Watercolour Paper 56x76 300gsm

• Cold pressed paper is an excellent choice for artists looking for a versatile watercolour paper for detail and textured effects. Having a medium grain with a less pronounced tooth than rough paper, this paper offers a smooth but sufficiently textured surface to create interesting visual effects.

• When formed in a traditional cylindrical mould, this watercolour paper provides a handmade appearance, which adds aesthetic value to the artwork. Production in a cylindrical mould ensures a uniform and consistent surface.

• All watercolour papers are designed to withstand saturation, which means they can handle the application of water and pigment layers without deteriorating. This is essential for watercolour techniques, where you work with washes and transparent layers of colour.

• The A5 sample, which comes in a bag of 10 sheets, is ideal for touching and feeling the quality of the paper before making a larger purchase. It provides an opportunity to evaluate its texture, absorbency and handling of watercolour media.

• In summary, medium-grain cold-pressed paper, formed in a traditional cylindrical mould, is a versatile choice for artists looking for detail and textured effects in their watercolour work. Be sure to look for products labelled "cold pressed watercolour paper" or "high quality watercolour paper" to find the right option for your needs.
