Thick glossy medium for impasto Liquitex 473ml

• It is a product used in acrylic painting that provides certain special characteristics to the colours.

  1. Drag and density: The medium heavy gel medium has the property of offering a high degree of drag, which means that it allows the brush to glide smoothly over the working surface. It also adds density to the paint, resulting in more concentrated and vibrant colours.

  2. Similarity to oil paint: By using this gel, acrylic colours take on a look and texture more similar to oil paint. This can be especially useful if you want to achieve a specific technique or effect that is usually associated with oil paint.

  3. Glossy drying: Once the heavy gel medium dries, it provides a glossy finish to the paint. This helps to enhance the colours and add visual depth to your work.

  4. Ideal for impasto glazes: Medium heavy gel is particularly suitable for creating impasto glazes, a technique where you apply a thick layer of paint and work with pronounced textures. The gel helps to maintain the shape and relief of the brushstrokes, giving the paint a three-dimensional appearance.

It is important to note that the method of use and mixing ratio may vary depending on the results you wish to achieve. I would recommend following the manufacturer's instructions and testing beforehand to familiarise yourself with the product and adapt it to your specific artistic needs.
