Sennelier Pastel À L'Écu Big Model

  • It will take more than 3 years (1904 to 1907) to formulate the range of superfine soft pastels "à l'écu", Sennelier and give rise to one of the longest pastel color ranges.
  • Over the course of the century, this palette will undergo changes, but the heart of its design will remain unchanged.
  • Several requests from impressionist artists are at the origin of this wide range of shield pastels, as is the case of the brown pastels that were created for the painter Edgar Degas.
  • It is an ideal range to double the pleasure of pastry chefs.
  • You can enjoy favorite cakes of Degas, Cézanne and Chagall made with traditional 19th century methods.
  • The creaminess and voluptuousness of the "à l'Ecu" pastel are the result of a careful mixture of pigments of extreme purity and natural binders. This subtle amalgam gives the cake optimal luminosity and ensures its conservation for several years.
  • The exceptional luminosity is due to the natural charge discovered by Sennelier in 1905 and which continues to be used today.
  • All tones degrade in shades towards white.
