Picasso. The Lost Sketchbook

The Picasso sketchbook presented here dates from March 1923 and has never been seen before.

It was part of a collection of works stolen over decades by Picasso's electrician, which were only discovered when he and his wife tried to sell some of the pieces in 2020. A facsimile of the notebook has been created, bound in authentic linen cloth specifically aged to match the original. This is presented in a clamshell box, accompanied by an illustrated book that tells the story of the theft and the find, as well as analysing the sketches in detail, relating them to several of Picasso's finished works.
