True Metallic Metal Vallejo

Model painting True Metallic Metal Vallejo 18 ml / 0.63 fl. oz.

The True Metallic Metal (TMM) technique aims to represent realistic metallic surfaces using metallic paints, rather than simulating metal with flat colors as in Non Metallic Metal (NMM).

It allows achieving natural reflections and a visually striking finish with less pictorial artifice, preserving the material richness of metal in miniature.

Vallejo presents True Metallic Metal, a range developed to offer control, consistency and spectacular results with simple techniques when painting metals on miniatures.

The range is designed to cover the entire chromatic spectrum with metallic paints, organized in 20 chromatic families.

BSL System (Base, Shade, Light)

Each family includes four sub-ranges that work in perfect harmony by grouping metallic paints into coordinated triads:

Base: Main metallic shade. Incorporates ultrafine metallic effect particles, offering a spectacular result and a shine suited to the scale. High coverage power for base coats, with a smooth, even finish and great self-leveling capacity that prevents brush marks.
Light: Metallic highlighting color. Lighter versions. They can be mixed in different proportions to achieve intermediate highlights.
Shade: Non-metallic satin wash. Allows creating subtle shading in mid-tone areas and sharp lining in recesses.

Airbrush: Metallic base color formulated for airbrushing. These are chromatically matching colors to all base shades. Specific formulation for airbrush use.

Each chromatic triad functions as an autonomous color unit, but is formulated to allow combinations and mixes between chromatic families.

Requires no thinning, although it can be diluted with Airbrush Thinner to achieve subtle effects. Excessive thinning may cause uneven finishes.
