Lefranc's 12 hour gilding mix is an oil based fixative designed specifically for gilding gold leaf and metal leaf.
Like the 3 hour version, this gilding mix is lead-free and is formulated to adhere gold leaf to non-porous surfaces such as glass, metal and marble.
It is specially designed for use on larger surfaces. It works best outdoors in dry climates and is recommended in situations with limited amounts of dust.
An advantage of the 12-hour Gilding Mix is that it provides longer lasting protection, as well as greater gloss and depth compared to the 3-hour version.
The volume of the product is 250 ml and the complete drying time is estimated to be approximately 12 hours.
