All about Madrid
Of the many Almodóvar girls, Madrid is Pedro's favourite, because it appears in absolutely all his films.
If the city has not yet won a Goya or an Oscar, it is because it remains an eternal revelation.
In this book, the author invites us to discover the history of Madrid, its legends, characters and anecdotes through the work of the director from La Mancha, and at the same time he takes us into the Almodovarian universe through his fetish city, with which he shares a transgressive, multifaceted, critical, open, fun, cosmopolitan and friendly personality at the same time.
The work has the collaboration of El Deseo (this is the first time that Pedro Almodóvar's production company has supervised and provided material for a guide of this nature); it includes more than 300 photographs and stills, as well as a four-hour map-route that reveals to the reader where the main scenes where the filmmaker has immortalised the capital are to be found.
An authentic tribute to a Madrid of cinema in a very Madrid cinema.
