Clairefontaine beige precision modelling clay
This modelling clay is a professional-grade, non-toxic, high-precision product, renowned for its stability, grip and accuracy of reproduction (to an accuracy of 1/10 of a millimetre). Thanks to its oil-based (sulphur-free) formula, the modelling clay never dries out in the air, allowing for endless modelling possibilities.
It is ideal for preliminary modelling work and can be easily worked with the fingers and basic sculpting tools.
To soften or even liquefy the modelling clay, it can be heated in an oven or bain-marie until it reaches the desired softness or consistency. Once liquefied, it should be stirred to reincorporate the oils that rise to the surface. After cooling, it regains its original firmness and can be reshaped as required.
It is perfect for creating a variety of moulds and is fully compatible with plaster, cement, silicones, low-melting-point alloys, polyurethanes and resins, making it a versatile tool for both professionals and amateurs. An ideal material for sculptors, craftspeople, restorers, jewellers, set designers and prototypers.
