Cestería
Basketry presents a collection of sixteen projects ranging from functional pieces such as a basket with a lid, a flower pot and placemats, to decorative designs such as bowls and bags.
All projects are illustrated with step-by-step illustrations and drawings showing the making process.
Each chapter includes instructions for making a basic basket from the material in question.
Most of the projects have a simplified aesthetic so that readers can concentrate on the techniques.
Tabra N'Diaye shows the ways of working with grass, thread, wicker and string, explains the various techniques of basket making, and pays tribute to the history and culture of this ancient craft.
Through this range of projects, Cestería takes us on a journey through the history of baskets and their evolution up to the present day.
With this book the author aims to shed light on this traditional craft with contemporary designs for the modern home and for today's people who wish to practice.
This collection will allow readers to apply their creativity and experiment.
